GEO-mazing win! Go Jauntly wins place on Ordnance Survey accelerator.
Created by Furthermore, Go Jauntly, an app to help you discover walks, curate your own and share outdoor adventures with friends, has just won a place on Ordnance Survey's funded accelerator programme. Geovation, the innovation hub and ideas incubator for Ordnance Survey, will work closely with the team to support our progress and help bring our location and information based technology to market and accelerate the scale over the coming months.
A free community-based app, Go Jauntly invites you into a world of outdoor adventure. Find local walks created by the people who love and know them, create your own and share them with your friends and the Go Jauntly community.
In August, Go Jauntly also won the ‘Ultimate Start-up Prize' from Vestd. An brand new equity-sharing platform that lets you exchange equity for skills and tasks without the need for cash. As strong believers in technology for good and innovative digital health solutions, we’ll be working closely with a variety of partners to build out the solution across the product lifecycle.
Steve Johnson, one of Go Jauntly's co-founders has always had a bit of an obsession with Ordnance Survey's printed maps. When Geovation first opened their doors, he was there waiting to hear about all the exciting possibilities that would emerge from a British institution innovating in this sphere.
Working iteratively and utilising lean and agile methodologies, the team have meticulously followed Furthermore’s digital product and service design approach, which includes: extensive user research, landscape and market analysis, business canvas modelling, business strategy, content strategy, market sizing, customer journey framework, ideation, user experience, brand and identity design, user interface and service design and iOS product development.
Go Jauntly launches in April. Sign up now to be the first to be alerted when the app hits the app store. If you're interested in finding out more about Go Jauntly, or the health and wellness benefits of walking, you can contact the team here or follow-us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
